Just curious, so whats up with the resale ammo prices on the classifieds? Members are asking full price for their ammo and that requires someone to reach out and set a meet-up which entails multiple messages back and forth and fuel cost to go meet. All that to save maby 5$ on the overall cost?!? I'd rather go to a store that has it in stock ( # COVIDISOVER ammo is everywhere) and pay full price (+5$ most of the time) than messaging someone and dealing with a meet up. Saving 5-10$ isn't worth the hassle and the stuff is on the shelf literally everywhere. Benefits of buying resale for cost?

NWFA rules state that a seller can ask what they want for an item that is for sale.

With that said...and speaking only for myself....
I just can't buy "used" ...as in previously purchased ammo at full retail pricing.
I have no idea how the ammo has been stored...for one thing.
Granted...it does take a lot of abuse for ammo to go "bad".
For another thing...I look at the classifieds for a deal / good price...and...paying full retail...just ain't a deal or good price.

In any event...some folks must be buying...lots of ammo is listed...and more importantly...sold .

My guess is because they don't want to sell their ammo. There are a few deals that pop up occasionally but they get snapped up pretty quick.

I sold all the ammo I had for sale last week no problem. Sorry you missed out on the deal(s). You might look to gun shows for deals. I/we sell a lot that way.

Asking price and what it actually sells for are 2 different things.

Look at Gunbroker.

You can ask ridiculous prices all day long.
Prices you see and items sold should be your parameters.

What was the point of this thread? To complain about capitalists trying to capitalize? To up one's post count? To convince someone to sell you ammo on the cheap by guilt tripping them?

Show us on the doll where the bad man touched your vagina.
Oh and I didn't even look left.

I think some sellers should be thankful for all the high priced listings. That should help lower priced listings sell easier.

I made an offer on some reloads listed in the NWFA classifieds recently and my offer was respectfully declined. The ammo still hasn't sold but he has dropped his price about halfway between my offer and his asking price. I expect another price drop or two and he will get it sold close to my offer amount.

If a seller is just listing their items for entertainment purposes, there is no reason they shouldn't list it on the high side. You never know when a sucker might come along.
