For those unfamiliar with this wonderful model, the 552 is a reliable autoloader that shoots .22 shorts, longs, long rifles, and hyper-long-rifle .22s. interchangeably. It holds twenty shorts, and fifteen 22 long-rifles, and fires as fast as you can wiggle your finger. It even breaks down for easy cleaning. Just for fun, there is about three-quarters of an inch of barrel in FRONT of the front sights for threading, for, uh, golfball launchers......................elsullo

I have an old Stevens .22 semi-auto that has the same 3/4" of barrel in front of the front sight. Golfball launchers. Yeah, that's the ticket! :winkkiss:
