actually a rem 742 is a semi auto action that is a bolt ?action so it cant be a semi auto nice looking rifle though but whoever gave you that information was wrong you might mean a 722 your rifle was made between 1948-1962

This is a Rem model 721 and it is the best rifle to date that I have ever shot. It hardly has any kick what so ever and the trigger breaks extremily sharp. and yes I think he should re-name his post REM Model 721.
Also the only thing on this rifle that is not for a rem 700 is the reciver as it was cheaper for a 721 action then a 700 action when we had the gun built. Anyone that buys this gun is getting one heck of a steal as I know what it cost to have it built.
