My gun will load shoot and eject store bought ammo and ammo I load into brand new brass but I reloaded about 30 rounds in brass that has only been shot once and only about 8 rounds worked, it loads it and I pull the trigger and click and then I pull the bolt back and the round is still in the barrel it's not even ejecting the round but it's not stuck in the barrel because I took a cleaning rod and put it down the barrel and just barely touched the round and they fall out so I'm not getting what is going on here as far as I can tell the rims look fine on the rounds, im hoping that maybe someone can help me out here, thanks in advance.

.50 BEOWULF. I don't own one, never have reloaded one. But: Just going by your text. Okay, your problem seems to be with brass you resized after being fired once.

I've been thinking about this issue. I just looked at a picture of the .50 Beowulf chamber. It shows that the .50 Beowulf headspaces on the case mouth, if you are crimping, it can allow the cartridge to seat too deeply. Or a short case? So you may have a cartridge headspace issue. Get a Wilson gauge.

Thank you for your quick response and I think you are right, I do have a case Guage but it's a cheap aluminum Lyman one I think I will get a steel one and I just got a new Lee crimp and I think that is where the problem is it's getting to much of a crimp, thank you very much for your help.

Reloading experience?

Did you trim the brass?

Measure diameter of factory cartridge neck. Might be over crimping wasp waisting the bullet. Measure neck at base, mid and at the crimp and just behind the crimp and just in front of crimp. What kinda of bullets are you using and what is the diameter of your bullets, check with a micrometer. Cases full length sized? If now marks from leade or rifling on the bullet, Sharpie the bullet from the crimp to where the olive starts and look for rub marks.

Do a chamber cast with cerrosafe or pound cast chamber impression.

Pound Chamber Cast
If you have a friend who casts, fill a fired case from your chamber with molten pure lead to about 1/4" from the neck opening. Place a casted 50 cal slug on top of the case and chamber it in you rifle. 3/8" STEEL round stock with 6-8 wraps of electrical tape about 3/4" from the end and periodically (6-8") along the shaft and at the muzzle to keep the steel rod center in the bore and not touching the barrel interior. Pound the end of the rod to make an impression of the leade throat ECT.

Measure with micrometer and compare to your reloads. I live in Salem.

Do you have a reloading manual?
If so, which one?
