Since self-defense related drills and competitions are my passion, I am looking for a "subcompact-only/draw-from-deep-concealment event. You know,... actually competing with an unmodified subcompact at 7-10 yards (maximum range) by presenting from deep concealment. Are there any such events in the Greater Portland Metro area? What say you?

Real World??? If it has score sheets and a timer--and the targets aren't shooting back---it's
a GAME. Or maybe a SPORT. There are USPSA, Speed Steel and maybe IDPA in the Portland
area. (maybe on the IDPA--I don't know if the program at Tri-County is still active).

You can shoot any of them with a subcompact from deep concealment, so long as you stay
within the safety rules.
