Here's a nutty thing you won't see very often. Fiala Arms model 1920 .22 pistol. Bolt is manually unlocked and cycled, and when it hasn't been fired, hitting that bolt lock will snap the slide open. Leads to some fun confusion for the buddies. These were designed by a guy that did guided hunts in the north. The cold would thicken up the oil, and the 1920 .22 ammo wouldn't cycle the things reliably, so his solution was "forget auto, manual is where it's at"
This is just the pistol version, but it does have the machining in the back of the grip to affix the stock that was available for these. There were kits that sold with multiple barrels and the detachable buttstock. From what I can find, they were made for about 2 years, with less than 5000 produced. Some estimates at just over 4k, but records were spotty at best. It does shoot. Extractor could use a new spring, because...well, it's 100 years old. It'll start the extraction, then you've gotta grab the brass out with your fingers. 1 magazine for it. Flip up sight, that I believe might've been to avoid snow blindness while trying to knock over rabbits? Just a guess
I've read that High Standard was contracted to do his manufacturing for him, but again, records are a little spotty. There was a Forgotten Weapons video done on the fancy full kit version of this thing
VERY cool little collectible. If I keep it, I'm going to be tempted to modify it for a suppressor. Probably better to let it go and save it from me.
We'll see what kind of trade offers come through, for cash call it $750. ---- PRICE DROP - $500
