.223 with a 18.5" barrel. Bore is excellent. Semi-automatic sporting rifle. Metal is in excellent condition. Wood stock is in excellent condition with minimal handling wear to note. Overall condition is excellent.

The significance here is that if a semi-auto rifle like the Mini-14 was manufactured prior to the enactment date of that federal ban (September 1994), it is grandfathered.

By virtue of being grandfathered, that means you can do things like adding a folding stock, flash suppressor and possibly bayonet lug to the rifle. If you live in one of these states and the rifle was made after 9/94, adding a folding stock would be a felony.

For example, in CT

It's illegal to put a folding stock on a modern mini 14, but it's legal to put it on a pre ban because it's made before 1989.
