Just had a blip down in Medford a few minutes ago. Only reason noticed was internet went down & oven/microwave/coffee maker clocks needed reset.

Normally pretty stable this home, this side of town 3 years. Maybe another blip IIRC, along with a planned scheduled outage of a few hours.

The old house other side of town, blips & outages were common.

-Home NG backup generator is down ATM. ?Starter or ?Starter relay. Won't cycle scheduled runs or manual start. Service called thursday, planned for this Thursday. Relay inbound today...

Power came back after 1.5hrs or so. My neighbor said he thought he heard a transformer blow, but I never saw or heard any workers around. Power could have been rerouted, I guess. My bigger concern is I get medicine in larger quantities I need to keep cool. I have backups but prefer the old refrigerator.

Perhaps hook up that fridge to a good sized UPS.

Did that in the previous house, because of the frequent blips making that fridge all wonky.

Simple fix for short term outages, before having to do something else (cooler & ice, small generator etc etc).

The last UPS I bought at Costco wouldn't restart on its own after an outage. I have to push the button to get it to reset. What idiot came up with that idea?
