Im very sad and a bit embarrassed to learn so late that Tim Copeland has passed. 😔 I enlisted his services numerous times and was never disappointed. I wish the best for his family moving forward. 🙏

That brings me to my question.

I have a .45-70 Contender barrel that I want to add (2) extra screws to the Weaver scope mount already installed. Past experience with a previous Contender in this clambering has proven this to be a prudent measure to keep my scope and mount attached.

Im honestly not thrilled reading reviews of Alison\Carey, or SSC...

Any suggestions?

TIA

Yeah I live right next to Alison's but they closed months ago unfortunately. Gun smiths are far and few these days. I don't know if Jim is still up and running but I've been to Jim's QuickDraw in Oregon city he is pretty good. I've been to columbian gun smith service was decent not great. Aside from them maybe try shooter services, or brimstone in WA

Contact Alex at Vernonia Machine Works. He is a supporting vender here on the forum.

There's McClusky Arms in Eugene also.

I've had work done at both shops and have been satisfied with the results.
