Bolt action pistol

Price: $450

Manufacturer: Firearm Repair Centers 1987, (custom-built)
(Out of business, owner deceased)

Caliber: .358

City: Portland

State: Oregon

Zip Code: 97236

Provenance:

.358 caliber, single shot bolt action pistol with box, custom made by a local gunsmith to meet International Handgun Metallic Silhouette Association (IHMSA) specifications.
Designed to shoot steel silhouette targets at 200m, hunting, and plinking.
Beautiful deep bluing you have to see to believe. The custom compartmentalized box alone is worth $100.
Value; $750 to $900 will sell for $450 with case.
Buyer pays transfer fees and all shipping costs if any.
The barrel is 15" and the overall length is 23".
This was purchased in 1987 and I don't remember if it was ever registered, but the applicable law of the time was: The federal Gun Control Act of 1968,
(GCA), 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44, established nationwide categories of prohibited persons.

Specifics:
This is not a short barreled rifle and cannot utilize a buttstock.
It is essentially a kit, utilizing a 1917 Eddystone receiver housing and bolt with a custom trigger mechanism and a custom made pistol grip. The barrel I believe is a Thompson Contender barrel.

Legal:
(A short-barreled rifle (SBR) is a legal designation referring to; 1) A shoulder-fired, rifled firearm, made from a rifle, with a barrel length of less than 16 in or overall length of less than 26 in. 2) A handgun fitted with a buttstock and a barrel of less than 16 inches length.) This pistol is not applicable to this law.

Ballistics:
The .358 is a 35 caliber rifle cartridge based on a necked up. 308 Winchester created by Winchester in 1955.
