I have a near new Pietta 1852 Navy in .44cal with 5.5" barrel, Sherriff's
Model. I also have a Howell .45LC conversion cylinder that works in it.
Cap&Ball cylinder hasn't been used and the conversion cylinder has only
had about 25-30 light cowboy Trail Boss loads. With the stock sight pin it
is shooting high as all of them do. I have ordered a replacement dovetail
front sight for it that should be here by Monday or Tuesday. And there is
a local gunsmith, who's number i have, that said he can cut a dovetail on
it for $40 so you would have an adjustable sight. No FFL is needed for the
gun and i will sell the conversion cyl. to you for so it is all legal.
I want $420 for the revolver and $10 for the cylinder.
