I have a Para 1640 in 40 S&W with 5 Magazines. Two factory Para 15 rounders, 1 Para 10 round and two MecGar 15s.

The gun came to me from the original owner and seemed to work pretty well but as usual I could not leave it alone. This one got a S&A grip safety fitted (I could not stand the gap from the factory part). A trigger job using factory parts, they were very nice, and removal of the S80 junk including a spacer plate for the removed parts. And removal of the factory extractor, Para customer service sent me the new EGW part they are using now, for free. All the removed items will come with the gun. Oh and I took the sharp corners off the rear sight.

The front strap is checkered, front fiber optic sight, adjustable rear and match grade barrel, this one is very accurate. It is a well fit gun and a very nice example of the 1911 with the added bonus of a hi cap mag. If you are thinking of getting into any of the gun games this would be a good match gun or a 10mm conversion project.

I don't think the original owner fired the gun very much it looked NIB. I have fired about 500 rounds from the pistol and it still looks NIB. Matt stainless frame, polished slide flats with black accents, very nice looking pistol. $GONE.

I will consider trades for other 1911's, a Glock with an RMR from TSD and other pistols +/- cash. The only rifle I am sorta looking for is a Sig AR (516) but you never know.
