If you get the 40, you could get the 9mm and 357 sig barrels and shoot all 3 calibers on the same platform.

Are the mags interchangeable between calibers?

40 and 357 Sig are. I've shot 9mm out of the 40 mags, but would recommend 9mm specific mags for anything other than range time.
