Well finally someone with common sense and an objective lens:

I remember bringing this up with a professor that was teaching on public health marketing because the textbook that she chose had inaccurate data on firearms.
 
It's like the stats on.....the # of children killed by gun violence.

How old is a "kid/child"?

Then, suicide. IMHO, those stats shouldn't be included.

Also, it's questionable (if I was a researcher) if I'd include gang violence and drug murders. Certainly if you're involved in those activities.....well, maybe you're not so innocent (to be labeled as a child or kid)?
