I know everybody here is registered to vote since everybody here cares about the Second Amendment. But you may have family or friends who have not registered to vote. Election Day is November 5 this year. I think it is always the first Tuesday of November.

A new registrant must submit their online registration by 11:59:59 p.m. Pacific Time on the 21st calendar day before an election to be eligible to vote in that election.
So, three weeks before election day would be October 15, by my calculation. October 15 is the last day to register in Oregon. Don't wait for the very last day, I might be misinterpreting the above quotation by a day.

Online
:
October 28. Washington State online and mail registrations must be received 8 days before Election Day.
In Person:
November 5. Deadline for Washington State voter registration or updates (in person only).
Register to vote in person during business hours and any time before 8:00 p.m. on Election Day.

I don't know of anyone who's not registered or voting in the upcoming election. Certainly not any family members. However, there are some coworkers who may not be, and in many cases, they would be low information voters and should stay home on voting day.

A gun forum I used to frequent had a member who otherwise seemed normal, but he admitted that he didn't vote. Sometimes we're our own worst enemy.

And a couple decades ago I was on yet another gun forum, and one of the new younger members made a few posts about the current state of gun laws, and he didn't understand how all of the anti-gun laws could have passed. A few months later in a post he mentioned how he probably wasn't going to vote, he "couldn't be bothered." 😖

It can't get much easier. 1) Go online and register. 2) Vote and mail back your ballot when it is mailed to you. You don't have to go stand in line anywhere.

FYI:

Election day for Conservatives is November 5, or mail it in earlier depending on your location.
Liberals are to vote on November 6, or mail it in after that date.

Oregon Hunters whom are not registered to vote: 137,949
Washington Hunters not registered to vote. 153,706

Apathy is complicity. We have to vote, that's how we protect our 2A rights and our communities, states and nation.

Too many Fudds among the hunters who think new anti-gun laws are only going to affect pistols and/or military style rifles. Those probably will be the first to be outlawed, and then the next domino will be hunting rifles and shotguns.

Elmer Fudd's "traditional hunting rifle" is Sarah Brady's "evil high-powered sniper murdergun--nobody NEEDS a gun that powerful!"

It's October 13, so there are only one or two days left to register to vote in Oregon. I can't tell from the online description if October 15 is the last day to register or if the opportunity expires October 15. Register today or tomorrow (October 14) to be sure.
