I wish you were closer . I have a can of FFFF you could have for free...

Have you tried priming from your main horn with FF or FFF powder?
I find that with a proper timed and tuned lock , a sharp flint and clean vent FFFF is not needed for priming .
That being said , most "factory" locks by TC and Lyman do not do well this way off the shelf.
If really desperate for FFFF you can "grind" FFF or FF down in size with a mortar and pestle.

3f works well, I'm shooting a Pedersoli Bess. I have a priming flask that doesn't meter the 3f well.
