opinions please...western field model 550ar

I saw this at the pawn shop for just $125, and picked it up because I had heard that these were just clones of the Mossberg 500 made by Mossberg under a different name. Looks like a great shooter, has an adjustable choke, some pretty pictures of birds and dogs, and is generally just solid all around. However, I'm not the most knowledgeable person when it comes to guns.

Does anyone out there own one of these? And if so, what are your thoughts? Am I able to put an 18.5 inch Mossberg 500 barrel and pistol grip on it if I feel the need? Thanks in advance for your input.

I have a 550AR, along with a New Haven 600AT, and the barrels interchange with my Mossberg 500. I've had them all apart and have never seen any difference internally. These shotguns are like AK's and Glocks;they just work!
