I dont know much at all about it other than it was made in 1837 and its a cap and ball,, everything on it is all original and seemse to be handmade,, even all the screws look hand made.. also has some nice engraving on it. im looking to trade for a pistol or rifle,, im not sure what this is worth so just make me an offer,, 350$ cash or 500$ trade

Allen & Wheelock #9 Self Cocking Pistol,
 
I found that the pistol you have for sale is a Allen and Thurber D.A. Bar Hammer pistol manufactured circa 1830. There were only several thousand made and the calibers were .28-.36.
