Two friends, one with a background in psychology and another with on marketing, both agree that the media had to say that the intruders had BB guns. This way the pro-gun audience will be happy that they actually aired news that agrees with our cause, but at the same time the gun-grabbers will see it as use of excessive force. Our argument is that the intruder's intent is to do harm and real or not, an object shaped like a gun pointed at you should always be treated as such. The gun-grabber's argument is that the burglars have a toy and that the two men shouldn't have pointed an "assault" weapon at the intruders.
