Selling a preban Norinco M14 in 7.62 that has had many national match accuracy upgrades. Those that know M1A/M14 rifles know that very few M14 type rifle to this day have been manufactured with the same forged receiver strength as the original USGI rifles and this is one. These are getting harder to find and are a great platform to build a really strong great shooting rifle. This thing is a shooter!
Here is a lost of upgrades/moda to improve accuracy:
1. Tighten fit of the gasblock and fwd stock ring to remove slop.
2. Peen op rod guide for tight fit and to remove op rod contact. Also replaced roll pin for tighter fit on barrel.
3. Polish gas piston for smoother operation.
4. Replaced hammer, trigger and sear with USGI.
5. Stone and polish sears and hanmer hooks for smooth and lighter trigger pull. Rifle does not double.
6. Fitted McMillan fiberglass stock and glass bedded.
7. Custom fitted and secured handguard to remove movement and interference that robs accuracy.
8. Installed Leatherwood M600 scope with low profile mount.
