with this new set-up. A shooting pal of mine parted with this double .560" mould with two different base insert sizes for less that half the UK price of >$350.

Right now I'm melting down some of my stash of ecclesiatical [church] roofing lead, some of which is well over 300 years old.*

Interestingly, most older church lead scrap has been snortled up by various universities for use in experiments. Pre-atomic lead, as it is called, is devoid of ANY modern particulates/inclusions, except those that can be removed by washing in lye [so I'm told], is a great source of data about so-called global warming and climatic events.

I'll be posting pics of the results, before and after making into paper cartridges for my Musketoon and Pritchett rifles.

*legally obtained in return for money by the Church of England Commissioners, after a series of roofing lead robberies by the so-called 'travelling community [AKA thieving pikies], stripped four local churches in three months. The replacement stuff looks like lead, but in fact is a by-product of iron/steel production dross, and melts at around the same temperature as Cerro-safe. It also contains nano-id's, and can be traced, like a pet's collar chip, to the owners.

FIRKEN PIKIES!!

Brad Pitt's best ever movie, IMO. He nailed the pikie argot.

Now, back to the mould.

I've stopped temporarishly, to give it a bit of a rest. It started to seize up, refusing to open, and at that point I saw that the inserts, that form the hollow base cups, were locking the two halves together. They actually articulate somewhat, to allow the two halves of the mould to close around them, but not before I got sixty-five good bullets. Incidentally, it took around fifteen pours to get them coming out satisfactorily. all went back in my faithish Lee pot. :)
