I just saw on the Glock Store channel that all models will be replaced with an "redesigned" Model V except for the "slim line".I bet they'll come out with a model that doesn't take the switch. I have a feeling that's what this is all about.
Dumb. But I understand.
Yea I saw that too. And no MOS versions at the beginning. Which I don't care about because the MOS sucks.I just saw on the Glock Store channel that all models will be replaced with an "redesigned" Model V except for the "slim line".
I wouldn't be opposed to that lol.A total grip redesign is in order too….![]()
That's not how you save money lol. Some of the more ambitious AGs may start suing makers of aftermarket slides, frames and pistols as well. The aftermarket stuff is really cheap right now. Might be a good time to stock up if you are wanting any of those parts.
I lost track of my frame to slide ratio. I think I have more frames than slides but it will be years before I get around to them anyways.
Just a matter of time. Went from Oregon price to Cali prices in an afternoon lolI can't wait to watch the classifieds blow up with $1-$2k stock Glocks Gen 3-5 because they are "discontinued." Just like the COA.
I suspect they will tweak the frame parts as well. They are tweaking the slide correct? Not the lower. Just kinda ironic seeing as how they marketed the 47 and 49 to be the first modular gun with multi slide compatibility. Going forward does this mean if you need to warranty the gun they are just going to give you a V version instead of the standard? I guess it really doesn't matter unless they upgrade the lower. Not a fan of the G26X frame. If they really wanted to impress me make the FCU the serialized part and give us frame options. I would love a Glock that has the original OEM frame ergos just finally metal already!
What's wrong with a 26X? It's by far one of my favorite guns to shoot as far as Glocks are concerned. They are tweaking the slide correct? Not the lower. W revision. What happens when someone invents a "V Switch"?
They tried to block it with the Gen 5s closing the hole in the back plate but a dremel or hot knife takes care of that pretty easily lol. Plastic ain't stopping anything. What happens when someone invents a "V Switch"?
Yikes sounds like zero compatibility if that's the case. Eh just wasn't a fan of grip. I'm use to the standard Glock grip that you either love or hate with a burning passion. To make that drastic of a change to every model in for foreseeable future sounds no bueno. If there is an option between the two that's one thing but if that's going to be Glocks standard frame going forward that would be a bummer. What's wrong with a 26X? Pretty sure they with change components of the frame and trigger as well.
