The Glock ain't nowhere near being my favorite handgun...
However...
They do work well...and are easy to shoot...a lot to be said for that.

Seems to me ....
That this ain't a firearm problem ...but a criminal problem.
Andy
It's the socialist approach. Punish all for the actions of a few…. Sickening…. What's next, banning cars to stop drunk drivers????

Also...in the case of firearms....easy to do .
Since most firearm owners don't want no trouble .

It is far easier and quicker to go after something....or someone who ain't causing the issue.....
Then to spend the time ...money and effort to actually stop or at least curtail the problem.

On an optimistic note, what if, and maybe it's a huge if, they've come up with a better trigger system that actually gives them a decent trigger and also allows them to sidestep the legal silliness some states are pulling?
Decisions like this are not made overnight and a redesign has to have been in the works for quite some time. Given that they can't help but know that a huge segment of the market is not buying their guns due to their less than stellar trigger reputation perhaps they've come up with a better solution? Hammer fired Glock, anyone? LOL!
Yes, I'm a dreamer...

Every company thats redesigned their gun to add a safety feature to appease some lawyer has ruined the gun...

Let's boycott every manufacture who has modified or produced a firearm to comply with CA or other State laws. It will save us a lot of money.

That wasnt what I was talking about but i do also wish gun companies would stop selling guns to California altogethere but I digress...
What about Californians 2A rights? Just because they are located in a specific state they shouldn't have access? You're calling for the exact same thing you're complaining about.

Glock is not an American company. So to expect them to care about American rights is kind of funny in my opinion. They care about money. Making money. They don't do it for the 2A or bill or rights.

To clarify Im referring to selling to police agencies. Police shouldt get guns citizens cant.

And US civilian sales of Glocks should make them want to support 2A causes. The V model isnt going to solve the switch problem and Glock should know this... ideally anyways.

There are many foreign owned guns companies ...... To be a successful company one must read the room or the customer base here in the US of A . Being aware of factors that affect their business market is a continual focus that many companies have to manage . If there are policies that hamper 2A participation assuredly a company will be concerned in how it affects their bottom line .

Oh I agree on not the selling to LE/.Gov.

We don't even know for sure that it's because of the switch. Currently it's all speculation.

Glock would still be profitable without sales to American civilians. Most these companies care about contracts not selling to the individual. It would not surprise me if Glock continued selling standard Glocks to agencies/.Gov/ect and they market the new version "V" model to civilians. It's not right in my opinion. But they aren't American and they don't care about you or me.

This is coming from someone who has been carrying a Glock for almost 2 decades. Almost every single pistol I own is a Glock. But I don't live in a world of fantasy thinking the company cares about me or my rights. They simply make a good product that fills my need at a cost I can afford.

And we all remember when Colt was only concerned with contracts and blew off the consumer market with a grave financial result when contracts dried up . Like the old saying " Be polite to people for one day they may end up being your boss " :)

When will the AGs go after the AR15 manufacturers for the same issue?
I doubt California AG's have much sway with the 400+ makers of AR's
Yet Smith and Wesson and Ruger are still doing just fine. Glock will be the same….. as long as they don't Cali every version.
As the owner of a Ruger Glock I'm pretty sure the platform isn't going away.

If Glock cancels all the older models I'll never buy a new Glock ever again. Hammer fired or not, there are plenty of great hammer fired pistols out there to choose from.

Colt didn't have the capacity to do both military contracts and civilian/police sales. CZ buying Colt and sh!tcanning most of the managers was the best thing that ever happened to Colt.
