PSA can be hit or miss in quality.
So far the Saints are working out good.
Materials used and quality workmanship, and QC checks are generally what set the high dollar apart.
You really dont have to spend a TON on an AR. These days most of the manf is pretty darn decent.Looking to get an AR rifle and pistol.
So many makers of ARs out there, how do you know which one is better? I know Sig, Colt (no longer making ARs right?), Ruger, S&W and DDM by rep but what about others like Springfield Armory Palmetto, ? What makes one worth $2500 versus $700?
Hows the qualitySadly these were down to $400 a few months ago! Welcome to supply and demand.

Ruger: AR-556 5.56mm Optics-Ready Semi-Automatic Rifle for sale at Sportsman's Outdoor Superstore.www.sportsmansoutdoorsuperstore.com
Everything I have seen and heard is good. Only complaint is ruger uses a unprotected firing pin semi auto style carrier. A new bolt carrier group or carrier can fix that in a jiffy.Hows the quality
kind of like putting chrome on a Mack truck!
^^^^^^ this 1000 times^^^^^ohhh boy....
in my opinion, if you dont shoot a lot, any of the major brands entry level ARs will be fine.
now, realistically we all know that once you buy one you'll wanna shoot it...a lot. now, in doing that you'll wanna make changes. then, you'll make changes and you'll be happy with those changes...and then you wont be...then you'll make more changes... and in doing that will make you happy. next thing you know you have a giant pile of spare parts and will be sad that they're just sitting there not being used....but you know what makes you happy...building guns makes you happy...so you think...why dont i just build one out of my spare parts as like a truck gun or whatever...so you buy a lower... and so it begins...over the next few months youre working over time and eating ramen to fuel your new addiction..giving up nicotine and alcohol to justify spending the money on gun stuff...one truck AR now turns into another AR but this time in a "fad" caliber that will fade away over time...but wait...it doesnt stop there....3 ARs now isnt enough...you gotta build a varmint rifle...OH!!! and then a pistol...for you know...SHTF/bugout....so then you get to thinking. holy crap...now i have 5 ARs that have all had BGCs on them and if SHTF then the govts gonna know i have them...DING DING DING LIGHT BULB GOES OFF...!!! i'll just buy a jig and replace all my lowers with 80% lowers...so you do. now you have 5 ghost ARs and 5 serialized lowers for when "they" come to confiscate them, you'll be slick and just give them the "ones they know about" next thing you know you have 10 and most of them never get shot and just get taken out of the safe to show your buddies.
welcome to the sickness. there is no cure.
laughed at if I go to the range from AR snobs
Thanks!First you buy something, doesn't matter from who, then you break your pin gauges out like instructor Chad and start checking how gas efficient it is.
Joking, anything you get will probably be fine.
Kotaboy32 has been doing comparisons of parts lately though... His bolt carrier group comparison did a great job of showing you the difference between quality and cheap if you want to know why people pay more. Well worth watching.
