The longer the sight radius the better. My gal's gun has to be as light as possible so I can't do the mid length thing. My personal AR15 preference is for a 20 inch heavy barrel rifle.. better velocity and longer sight radius

If that were my rifle one thing I would definitely do is toss the standard birdcage and put a Phantom or Vortex FS on it. Huge difference in dark shooting conditions

i dig the vltor FH personally... but ya, it's nice to remove 'all' the flash and it's cheap too
