Welcome to the Couv Johnny,
For a compact 9mm I really like the Ruger KSR9C I shot a friends, great trigger and accurate. Another 9mm I like and happened to own is the Springfield Armory XDM 4.5 inch.
I use to own a Glock 17 it was not very accurate even after a new barrel and trigger work.
