I inherited a complete reloading setup a couple of years ago and have really enjoyed the learning process. So far I have loaded some 44 mag, 30-06, 7mm-08AI, 22-250 and am getting stuff together to reload for my old model 81 300 savage!

I am finding the process is more enjoyable than the trigger time....but taking an animal with your own reloads is priceless!

Great advice TAC...Adventurous I am not when it comes to reloading...I do not toy with max pressures or non published data! I bet that Snider is hungry!

The text book 'Adventures in reloading' has very few pages, and ends rather suddenly....

I make two loads for the Snider, depending on which bullet I'm shooting, and which version I'm shooting - a. the two-band short rifle or b. the three-band infantry rifle.

I use 65gr of 1.5Fg with the 480gr short bullet, and 75gr of the same with the 565gr bullet. The first is 'vigorous' but the second is pretty vicious, and I tend not to shoot more than half a dozen.
