I wanted my first offical post to be the announcement of a new addition to my gun fleet. A 9mm Star Model B Super. Made in 1975, this semi auto was supposed to be a "kick around" 9mm. The condition is so nice that I'm not sure now. Any opinions or advice for this Browning HP-like gun are welcome. Pics added.

Nice toy. I had one and liked it (much older than yours). Had trouble getting it to run (I think weak mag springs), and I had trouble finding spare mags at a reasonable price (Note: there are 2 or 3 different mags for the Model B series with different bottom plates). There are cool grips available cheap to dress it up. I love the 1911 - ish looks in a cheap caliber.

I like it also. I've not fired it yet, buy I will this weekend at a rock quarry. Indeed, mags seem a bit expensive considering their only eight rounders. I think I found mags for sale from a company called "K Mags", we'll see how they work out. For under $300.00 I'm happy. If I'm really not impresssed, I've got a BHP and a nice Beretta for 9mm work.
