There are so many manufacturers out there now retailing suppressors. I own two Griffin armaments currently but I'm in the market for a suppressor to facilitate 45/10mm and Griffin is out of stock. Sig Sauer has a new pistol dedicated suppressor , MODX-45 which looks intriguing but I'm curious if there's anyone else who can give me feedback before I take the plunge?

I went with a silencerco hybrid 46 direct thread for .40/10mm, using a YHM booster & piston.

Also use it for 9mm PCC with the YHM sRx mount system.

Works well.

In stock $600 @ silencershop.

-just mentioning such as an option. Because in stock.

Gunzonedeals seems to have the best prices imo. Hit "email for price" for any you might be interested in. Sometimes they quote a price very low. Here are some that don't require email for price and are in stock now. There's a ton more that are more expensive I just stopped at $700 mark.

Rugged obsidian FDE says $709 but email for price so it's probably about $620-$650ish? Same with dead air primal 46cal. Says $769 but email for price so maybe $649?-$700?

I suggest searching for suppressors on their site but check every box for 45 and 10mm under caliber. 45 is listed probably 9 different times so if you check all 9 boxes you will see more. Also hit "hide out of stock".

Also suggest checking stock at capital armory. They ship to your door. Not sure if Gunzonedeals ships to your door or not.

I have Griffins Optimus nine which comes setup to do everything from .22 to .308 and comes with a booster piston and I've used it with my Aero PCC 9mm. Really just looking for something to handle 45/10mm . I was considering Griffins Bushwacker but again not available currently

I noticed this one in Oregon City fwiw. They have a silencershop kiosk.

A few months ago, I bought an Obsidian 45 to shoot 10mm with.
I can state with certainty that I cannot shoot anything but sub's because of backpressure issues causing FTF's!
I made different reloads of every MV.
I used different RSA's 17 to 24 lbs.
I used increased power striker springs.
I used different weight projo's.
In the end, I am very disappointed because I can only use my 10's at 40 S&W MV's. So, what's the point? I just shoot my suppressed G22.5 now with that can.
I wasted a lot of money to suppress a 10mm, when it cannot be done with a bear defensive load in a semi auto pistol.
At least not with an Obsidian 45.

Another thing to consider is that I had to custom order a KKM barrel for my G20.5 and wait six weeks to receive it. 10mm threaded barrels are about impossible to find.
I prefer to shoot my S&W 10mm's because they are more ergonomic, but no one makes a threaded barrel for a S&W M&P 2.0 - 10mm. The S&W barrels have a much thinner wall thickness. Not safe to thread. :(

Good info. Perhaps a rad 45 flow through suppressor would be one that works. It is one of the few that specifically states it's for 10mm. I've had good luck with the rad 9 but don't have any 10mm/45 suppressors. Not sure rad45 is in production anymore? Maybe some others with flow through design exist?

I've been buying only flow through cans and will continue to do so. Eliminates lots of issues such as first round pop, gas to the face, change in bolt speed causing increased wear, malfunctions due to back pressure, etc. IMO flow through designs and 3d printed are the future and conventional cans are on their way out except for 22 and for low cost options. It will take years to get there but that's where things are heading imo. Huxwrx/OSS has been phasing out conventional or hybrid conventional cans and moving to 3d printed flow through only. Ptr, b&t, Huxwrx seem to be in the lead as far as innovation.

I have a HUXWRX 9Ti Titanium 3d Printed and I can tell ya, the flow through design is the way to go. Almost no blowback in my face and it eats any ammo I feed it. I Love it.

When I shoot the Obsidian 45, glasses are mandatory because the blowback hitting my face is severe! It's like having my face sandblasted.

I looked pretty hard for a dedicated 10mm can and could not find one. So, thanks for the info you provided about the Rad 45 flow through!

A Quick Look showed most everyone out of stock. Must be discontinued. There is one on gun broker fwiw.

Rad 45 white paper specs

These are modular. You can run full length or remove the small section for K size. I mostly run my rad 9 in k size fwiw just cuz so small. Removable end caps and baffles inside with flow through radial groves built into the outside of baffle. Ooops, just remembered all that's shown in the video. Oh well. :s0112:

If I recall @TTSX has one but no idea if he has run it on 10mm or not.

Any reason you went with YHM sRx instead of somthing like KeyMo? I'm learning a bit myself.

Springer precision has them available in stock but I decided to irder their 9mm first for my X5 legion since I already have a compatible suppressor for 9mm

Cost (at the time I decided*), size, weight & lack of complexity.

Currently have 4 suppressors that have the sRx hub - 3 .30 cal & the 46. (the Hybrid 46 is the only one I change out the hub to a booster/piston, occassionally). Have a Rugged Obsidian 9 for 9mm handgun which can't take a hub.

The Hybrid 46 w booster/piston is just a lark really! Hoot to shoot .40/10, just for giggles. Not for practicality. Whereas the Obsidian 9 I could see a place in home defense. With the 46 (with sRx hub) on a PCC, also may have a place in home defense.

Haven't run enough SBR (yet) to see how they may (or may not) work well for HD. .30 cal hub.

Have many sRx brakes/hiders installed & to be installed.

*When I bought in, many places were discounting sRx stuff. Some 35% off. So I bought a bunch. Then I needed / wanted more.

One suggestion for anyone running 45acp suppressed who is getting blowback… reload with Titegroup… 100% powder burn and no blowback. Also if you use a 45 suppressor on 9mm pistol, there is no blowback issue either. Same goes for 9mm in a 9mm can… Titegroup or get a flow though can.

Suppressing 10mm makes little sense to me… subsonic loads are the equivalent of 45acp in power, and suppressed supersonic bear loads are still louder than f-ck and apparently don't function without a lot of negotiation in reloading recipe, springs, and quickly clearing a specialized holster to defend yourself.
