I just bought a new beretta nano from a buddy who never used it. I got it disassembled and it's completely dry no oil anywhere (no trace of rust either) do I oil it before firing if so how much oil and what part? Not sure how to care for pistols. Any help is appreciated.
To answer the OP's actual question, I always make a point of cleaning and lubricating any gun I buy - new or used. It shouldn't be bone dry, but it shouldn't be dripping with oil either. Depending on the lubricant you use, just a thin film is all you need.
