Just moved to Oregon from the Southwest. Came for the scenery and a job. I'm looking forward to get into the practical shooting scene in the next couple months and get rid of some extra gear laying around.

My hometown changed drastically. Not bad or good. My second home degraded into something much less desirable. BIG difference.

Liberals passed an obnoxious gun law a few years back that requires a very expensive permit to purchase a firearm plus a ban on magazines with >10 round capacity. The law is on hold right now and is in the Oregon Supreme Court. IF the Oregon Supremes rule against us, the mag ban may take effect immediately. Buy all the standard capacity mags you think you'll need as soon as you can.

I hope you get a chance to get into hunting Blacktail deer . it's a great area. You can hunt basically general season and from I-5 west . check it out Ghost of the forrest , they say if you can get a Blacktail first time out you are luckyits much harder then whitetail
