Joined from Sacramento County, Calif. Found site while researching on how to transport handguns in motor vehicle. Spent almost all my life afte high school in law enforcement, either military, active and reserves/national guard, railroad police, city pd, state police/highway patrol. Retired in 2006. Got a non-resident Washington CHL when my daughter and her family moved to Mukilteo in 2007. My former agency was playing around with the HR-218 rules. Renew it in March 2012. Then the 3 year old granddaughter came for a visit. The CHL made a great coloring book. Even used the heavy duty wide felt tip marker for effect. So we're heading back up at the end of June for a visit, I'll get a replacement then. California calls it a CCW - Carry Concealed Weapon permit.
