I'd forgotten I even joined this group until I got a message :)

I guess as an introduction I've been around weapons since I was old enough to even hold one. Dad taught me to treat every weapon as if it was loaded, and at my house they were loaded :)

Former US Marine 1975-1980

Was in Las Vegas 2017 for New Year's, and the Navy had some big huge expo going on. I was talking to somebody and mentioned about my diving with military rebreathers and he said oh you need to talk to Master diver Master Chief I can't even remember the guy's name now to be honest. We spent the next 3 hours talking and I mentioned I'd attended BUDS Phase 2 for Combat Diver training. He paused a moment as said "I hear you Marines got special treatment there". I had to laugh. Yeah I sure got special treatment all right

I joined this group back when I was thinking how to deal with my dads rather extensive collection and wound up picking out the weapons that I wanted and the rest went to an auction through Lock Stock and Barrel out of Cody Wyoming that'll be up on Gunbroker end of November early November if anyone's even remotely interested. Almost 200 weapons. My dad was prepared for the zombie apocalypse :) And some very kewl stuff too. I'd have kept the Mac 10 Open Bolt, but not a fan of 45's in that format.

So I can't say I'm going to be extremely active on this forum and I guess I'm in the penalty box until I get 10 posts.

So anyways that's my introduction

Welcome aboard .
Was in the Army about the time you were in service.
Those Macs can be fun but I would rather have a Grease Gun myself. :)
I carried the M11 for a few years as a backup if my XM177 jammed. Back then I was able to smuggle mine home, but I needed the money when I got out. Lets just say there were a few cool toys I wish I still had :(
