A fellow Portlandian saying Howdy.

Feel free to share any super secret spots you've found to shoot nearby on State/Nat'l Forest land! ;)

I was really hoping that y'all could tell me about that lol, at this point I don't know nothing.
Well so what good are you to me!

;)

No, I don't have any great spots, and it's rarer these days I get down to Tillamook County (maybe once a month) where you can pretty much do what you want, within reason and regs on forest land (paper targets, backstop, and common sense).

I'm also a new member to the forum and a cat hepped me to the Tri-County Gun Club, which is out in Sherwood....a bit of a commitment depending on where you're at. Absolutely a well regulated place with firm but fair guidelines and is not exclusively an indoors range, which I prefer. I got the spiel from a cat here when I just made an account here, and I'm sure I can pass along the bare info when I get done drinking my whiskey, if I remember.

I'm not a member of that club (yet, perhaps), but it's about the best I've seen around for accomodations, safety, and general courtesy.

So that's on the back burner for me, but I think an hourly range closer in is fine....probably cheaper than my other hobbies, which are drinking, gambling at shooting pool, and taking a taxi home. It all evens out.

I live on the west slope (no, I'm not a rich millionaire: I work for wages, but make out OK in logistics) but commute to work most days up near Delta Park....don't feel like crossing into WA State with all the legalities, really, even though I've heard of some very good ranges in the Vancouver area, but there's gotta be a place in that Portland circle where one can squeeze out a hundred rounds just on to or from work or whatever.

Just haven't found it yet.

Welcome, anyway!

BLM is like secret fishing spots, it's hard and nobody wants to give up their secret spots. I got some spots in Colorado but that is sorta useless

I'm around PDX for school and probably going to move to Tennessee in about 8 months but I do want to meet new people and group and whatever clubs are around.
