Welcome! Enjoy San Luis Obisbo, a beautiful spot. Ultimately, like cars and watches and jackets and sunglasses, guns are just things.
Cars, watches, jackets and sunglasses? They aren't associated with rights.

Guns?

I refer folks to Amendment #2 of our Constitution:

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

California is about as infringing as any State. Mass a close 2nd, while WA & OR are trying really hard to play catchup.

Not knocking the literal beautiful spots of California, of which there are many. I am definitively knocking Californians decisions, repeatedly, to infringe upon themselves & anyone whom would wish to visit, or to stay.

Hence, we don't & won't visit California. Unless there is a significant change towards normality.

Mentally, I'm just telling myself this is a bold 4D chess move... everyone else heads out of California, I sneak in, and somehow I'm the tip of the spear in flipping California red. Makes perfect sense if you don't think about it too hard.

Thanks, happy to be here! We are moving to San Luis Obispo.

Selling these is really not what I want to do.. but I am liking the idea of storing them long term, I hadn't really thought of that to be honest. Does anyone have recommendations around Eugene?

My wife's job is highly specialized and these openings dont come around often. I wanted to move to Idaho...
Is she going to work for Ernie Ball?

NFA stuff would have to go on a trust, if they aren't already. Legally. With whomever you store them on the trust.

Otherwise ATF would likely catch up on your change of State. Perhaps. At some point. Bad mo jo.

Haven't done a trust, but it does look like they are running a bit slow ATM. So, if you are thinking of storage (friends/family, etc), get moving on getting all your NFA stuff switched to a trust ASAP. Used to cost $200 each item to do so (individual stamp --> trust), no longer the case. Just costs time now.

No recommendations for storage. Unfortunately...
