I have a Saiga shotgun that I'd like to convert to a pistol configuration, and looking for a qualified, trustworthy, and quality oriented gunsmith in the King or Snohomish county.

    Recommendations/referrals?

It really is very easy to do it yourself. Just need to drill or grind out the trigger guard rivets and everything else just bolts on. No welding or cutting.

    CONVERSION KIT #1 SAIGA 12

    Just need the parts. ;)

If you want to see if you're up to it, here's a step by step with pictures on a Saiga 12

It's really easy. I did mine in about 2 hours and I'm no gunsmith. If you get the fire control group from Dinzag you can ignore the fire control group modification in that guide since he does it to the parts for you before sending them off.

For some, it is pretty straight forward to do your own conversion. For those not comfortable doing the work, I can help out. I'm in the PDX area if you ever make it down this far. Here are some examples of my projects:

Give Blackwell Industries in Renton a call.

I've been gun shopping recently and called them to see if they had any complete rifles for sale. Even though they didn't have anything to sell me, Eric was very helpful and spent about a half hour on the phone with me giving great advice. While I haven't had any work done by them yet, I've read that they do great work.
