My 10-22 and CCI std. velocity ammo

Took my box stock Ruger out for an ammo trial with 5 brands of 'bulk grade' ammo,and it shot very well with the std. velocity stuff.
I"d never tried it before and wasn't sure how it would cycle the action . NP

So,if that is all your store has to offer...which is how I ended up with it...give it a try.

It is good to know what ammo works with any firearm. Std. velocity should work in most semi-autos.

Twenty twos can be pretty finicky about ammo. I have a custom 10-22 that I have way too much money invested in, which only likes CCI Mini-Mag. Often times it will choke after a few rounds of anything else. But it is a tack-driver, so I'll feed it what it likes.

On the other hand, I have a Marlin mod. 60, 1970's vintage, out of the box, that is also a tack driver. That one will digest any ammo I can find.
