My mother recently gave me this knife... and I remember it from when I was 8-9 yrs old.

I know it's not in the same vein as the mountain men knives above, and it's German "rostfrei" steel, but it has a genuine antler handle, and it looks cool and "old timey" to an unlearned knob (on the subject matter) like me.... :D

Looks kinda like a sharpfinger with an antler handle. I like it.

I bought a Ontario Bushcraft knife to go with my cowboy action kit. It looked like a butcher knife rather than a Bowie. I'd brought it on our last camping trip planing on it being my belt knife. My wife glommed onto it as a kitchen knife even though she'd brought our regular Old Hickory kitchen/camp knives. I ended up using my old Uncle Henry folder for a belt knife. You just never know when you might need to whittle a hotdog/marshmallow stick or pick a few Morels.
