Thanks to @Cardoff who gave me the idea, here we go. Post pictures of the oldest and most beat up thing you have. Let's see if we can keep this going.

No:
Inappropriate pictures (i.e. Porn)
Drug related things
TRY to stay away from politics
Not having fun

YES:
Photos of old stuff
Guns
Knives
Whatever isn't in the NO section
Having fun

The oldest gun I have is a Joseph Barber Box Lock Pocket Pistol.
Its from the 1760's or thereabouts.
Not beat up now...
But when I bought it , it was a small pile of rusting parts in a brown paper bag.
The main spring was also broken. ( it is fixed now )
The safety is the trigger guard.
Push the trigger guard forward and the safety is on , pull it to the rear and its off.

I would have photographed my libido, but it is akin to an analog television picture... it keeps fading out. o_O (BTW my pornograph is on the fritz again). Hey, YOU tell me what to to with a broken mainspring that is no longer manufactured and THEN we'll discuss it!:p

Is that mag a rock?

A-stan duty rifle?
Bayonet trainer , Warsaw Pact.
The rifle and "magazine" are usually made of wood. Although I have seen 'em with a real AK magazine as well.
The barrel is a bit of stiff but springy rubber ... it flexes as it hits.
Saw a lot of these in Bosnia when little kids played "Army"
( would have thought that they saw enough of the real armies of various types that no would want to play ...)

I don't really have any beat up stuff unless you count the 1950's Marlin good gun I bought with a broken stock and bent barrel for a project gun (someone had the bright idea to move grandma with grandpas guns in the bed of a truck without tying it down and had a major wreck on the freeway strewing guns all over the median:confused:), but it was cheap:D.

Here is the oldest thing I have that I can positively date: a 1952 JC Higgins (made by High Standard that year and in 1953) 12ga pump. It has a small nick in the metal and I have no idea how much it was used before I got ahold of it but I put many hundreds of rounds thu it and it is on par with my dad's old Rem 870 replica as my favorite shotgun - probably is my favorite because of the adjustable choke on it.

The pump slides like butter and I have seen videos of people using these in 3 gun comps because they are so well built and smooth.

It has the jeweled bolt and everything but it doesn't show I this pic.
