Mossberg 500c 20 gauge shotgun question!

Anybody know if there is a difference between the regular buttstock on a Mossy 500 20g. and a Mossy 500 12 g.?? Are they interchangeable? Or is there two different sizes for each? I'm kinda looking for one for my 20g., but dont know exactly what I need. I just want a regular buttstock in black synthetic.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, and if you know anyone that has one they want to get rid of, I may have something to trade for it!!

I just did the same thing two weeks ago. I called Mossberg and they told me that the receiver is narrower on a 20ga but a 12ga stock will fit. I bought a Hogue 12ga 12" lop for it. It does over lap the receiver by 1/8" or less on each side. It doesn't bother me but it is not flush like the 20ga stock was.

Also you can get a 18" barrel for $67. Makes a nice shortie shotgun.
