For sale is my lever action Mossberg 464 chambered in 22lr. Purchased on here shot twice and left in the safe. Shoots well but does light strike about once per tube. I have not tried cleaning it, which might fix it. Will clean it and take it out again in the coming weeks if it doesn't sell. Asking $200, price drop to $175 will not sell any lower.

The light could be firing pin wearing out?

The light primer strikes are not consistent so I don't believe that is the cause and I can manually protrude the firing pin and it doesn't look damaged

I thought of the firing pin because my Pheonix did the same thing. Granted, mine is a semiauto and don't know if that might have a thing to do with it. But I thought to at least try to toss something out towards a fix.

Nice rifle! The old Mossbergs are just cool and I'd sure like to have yours. I have to fall back on the old lament, "wish you were closer".
