"Who is against that?" I am, you SOB, when an officer not going home here/there is the price paid in exchange for every American having liberty. If "officer safety" is the TOP priority, than all kinds of heinous bubblegum is authorized. Permanent incarceration for all civilians? Total disarmament? What's next? I don't want cops to die in the line of duty...but I don't want liberty to die either. Regardless of what these coppers are saying, violent crime has trended down over the last couple of decades. More that DOUBLE the number of cops were killed in 1974 or 1980 as were killed in 2013. If that is the case (link below for stats), why is the milit....errrr....police force arming UP?
