Don't pass up this double bbl SxS in my favorite caliber....16GA
If you're able & willing to invest the money required to revive this beauty it will serve you well.
Belgian double, Manhattan Arms "The Interchangable"
exposed hammers
locks up tight
chokes unknown
bores bright
one bbl marked "choke bore"
rib marked " Belgium Laminated Steel" (which is stronger than Damascus) even though it's still banded steel.
wood is good with no apparent fractures.
stock is stamped "MONTANA ARMORY BOZEMAN MONT." kinda cool
28" bbls double trigger
only one hammer is present, both firing pins are missing and only one retainer is present.
after many emails and much searching online I have been unable to find any donors or parts.
I found a gun shop who can make the missing parts in his machine shop, but for me that would be cost prohibitive.
this is an antique and requires no FFL Transfer.
When finished you can buy period correct shells from RST Shells loaded at low pressures for these old guns, no need to hang them on the wall.
DO NOT BUY SHELLS AT BI-MART FOR THIS GUN
