News agency (for what it's worth) said some guns were purchased legally others were not, but did not elaborate.
If it will ignite gun control debate the news will report it, if not it will blow off in the wind.

Personally even if they were purchased legally it's another failure by the feds to track a potentially dangerous person or stopped them from legally buying a firearm.
