You read the title correctly. And very reluctantly I'm posting up my MG-42 builders kit too see what kind of Trade offers are out there. I have the time, but my skill level does not make me feel confident building this weapon. Nor do i have the extra money to send it to a competent gunsmith to build it at this time. As much as i love seeing it on the coffee table every morning, my curiosity says it's time to see what's out there.
As the title says, this is an 80% BRP Receiver MG42 builders kit. It includes a mixture of German and Yugo parts, mostly duplicates of each other. For example, it will come with 2 top covers one being an original German Waffenamp marked cover, and one that's Yugo duplicate part.
Parts included:
BRP 80% receiver/shroud assemblies
German Waffenamp Top Cover
Yugo top cover
German (i think) full auto Bolt assembly
Full auto trigger assembly
2 trunnions (part the top cover is pinned to)
2 barrel change doors
Bipod
Muzzle assembly/booster cone
Trench art Stock carved "Nesa"
2 8MM belts with rust
2 sets of receiver rails
2 recoup buffers
2 sets of iron sights
1 barrel stop
1 main recoil/bolt spring
1 8MM German DEACTIVATED barrel W/ intact barrel Trunnion.
Pelican Style Hard Case
And multiple little parts.
Before you ask, YES this is legal to own for anyone. It is not legally a firearm yet, so all full auto components are legal to own. In order to build this firearm all NFA regulations apply to build into a machine gun. If you wish to build it as a Semi Automatic rifle, you will need to purchase the Semi auto conversion components from BRP (Trigger and bolt assemblies). You will also need to source an 8MM barrel. You can find a new barrel and re use the old Trunnion, or search for an intact original assembly.
The BRP website has multiple guides and resources on how to build the 80% receiver.
I would probably put a price of $3,000 on this kit to start. but only looking for trades right now.
Trade interests:
**Russian Tula AK-74U Krinkov in 5.45**
Arsenal SLR-104UR Krinkov
Molot VEPR RPK-74
Russian SVD TIGR
Tommy Built T-36C pistol in 5.56
Black Widow P08 Luger/WW2 marked Lugers
SCAR-16 Black
SIG553 pistol
Biggest interest being the 5.45 guns the most.
Russian/German surplus weapons of similar values.
Other somewhat complete parts kit? Let's see what ya got.
****Not interested in any Shotguns or Hunting Rifles at all!****
Most likely won't be interested in ANY AR-15s.
