Ok, I'm looking for a meat grinder - anybody use one?

NOT some several hundred dollar commercial one but a moderately priced Vs. quality.

Maybe only be doing 2-4 lbs at any given time.

Get you one of these baby's. If all you are doing is a few pounds at a time you will spend more time cleaning a fancy one than grinding meat. We used to make our own pet food and would grind 10-12 lbs for a batch. They work great and are about $5 at a garage sale. Doesn't matter which brand, they all work. Get all the the different bits for it if you want choices on how coarse or fine your grind is. If you find your way to Potand(I wouldn't recommend it) I've probably got one you can have.

Find a used one on Craigslist/Facebook Marketplace/Garage Sales/etc.... Most who buy a meat grinder have good intentions that never materialize and they let them go barely used or sometimes even new for pennies on the dollar. Just like this one below that is still new.

I found a lot more options when doing a quick search on Facebook Marketplace.

Something to keep in mind when using a meat grinder is to make sure you are keeping your grinder plates and knives sharpened.

Looking at one of these. $46.00 new.

DEFINATELY cheaper than what I used for years (weiler 1109).......... $300 just for a new grinder plate (resurfaced every day) and $12,000 for a new auger and sleave set. Well we did grind 15-30,000 pounds a day. Now I just use the lil white guy for deer hamburger.

That one on Craigslist is expensive. I have a Cabelas one just like that, cost me $99 on sale. It worked much mo' betta' than my two manual units, and will stuff casings too.

What is the name brand?
Bend Sportsmans warehouse should have something, maybe besides this one as well.

Well, it has the Cabelas logo on it. I've never dug deeper to see who actually makes it.
Edit to add, my wife had moved the box from where I normally store it, so I had to go look and find it.
It's the Cabelas Deluxe model. I forget who recommended the specific model to me, but I had asked about what they recommended to grind out 30# of a mix of venison trimmings, beef fat and bacon. No problems so far.
