Marlin 336SC in .35REM WITH AMMO

The old "waffle top". JM stamped and unmolested as they say (not drilled/tapped). If I did my research right it dates to 1950.
I bought this years ago and never fired it. Doesn't seem fair to let it just sit in the safe so thought I would list it and see what happens.
It pretty good shape for its age. Everything cycles fine. No rust or pitting. Somebody put an aftermarket recoil pad on it that doesn't line up so well (as pictured).

Comes with 60 rnds Hornady Leverevolution 200gr FXT.

I think $500 with the ammo is a pretty good deal for one of you lever action faithfuls. Let me know if I am off in my thinking. Buyer responsible for all fees at Ticklicker Firearms in Salem.

Nice rifle.
SN prefix letter would be G for 1950.
I have an SC in 30-30, D for 1947.
Best lever rifle I've had.

And .35 Rem is a great cartridge..

I just traded off a 1952 SC in 30-30.
What's interesting is that mine also had what I thought was an aftermarket recoil pad...and it looked exactly like the one on this rifle.
Great deal on this, I envy the new owner.

I had to do a Dr Strangelove and make my left hand grab my right hand to keep from typing Nibbs Dibbs...

I has a Rem Model 8 in 35 Rem and Ammoz.
In fact I came back to this thread to do it & it was SPF...
