Making a holster for the mp 10mm 2.0

As of yet, no blackhawk retension holster exsists for a mp sw 2.0 10mm....but you can make your own

Need a G17 duty holster (no SURPA) level 2 or 3.

Disassemble holster
First, cut the top straight down the middle.
Second, remove the inner lining (its glued in an can be a real pill to pull out)
Make sure the new holster now fits the gun
Snip a long peice from the inner lining and glue on top to maintain shape (peice needs to be oversized)
Use a sodding iron to join the glued plastic to the holster.
Shape as needed (You might put in an optics cut)

It doesnt have a thumb release or manual retention release

True. However most folks also do not require full duty type retention for daily carry.

Procraft Tactical is in Albany. Custom Kydex holster maker, I highly recommend. Granted he made ours while we still lived up North, so it has been a while.

Not sure if he could do thumb snaps, or not.

That's weird. We have several different M&P models we issue and they all fit the same holsters. My M&P45 and M&P9 use the same holster. The only consideration is length.

If you want a ccw holster with retention, check out the Safariland 6377 and 6378.
