For sale is a Golden State Sharpshooter rifle built on a Remington 1903 action. The action serial # is in the 4.15 million range putting the likely manufacture date of the action in 1943-44 range. The two stage trigger is amazingly light. It has peep sight with the front post containing a tiny brass bead. The rifle is chambered in 30-06. Asking $450. $430 $410 $390 cash. I will meet at Tigard Pawn 4 More or Sunset Firearms in Wilsonville to do the transfer. No shipping or trades.

Golden State Arms were in business in the 1960s and '70s...
They made or imported sported versions of military bolt action rifles....
These , such as the rifle presented here in the ad , are good solid rifles.

The Golden State military rifles like their re-built 03-A3 rifles are another matter.

And these Golden State rifles should not be confused with the Sante Fe rifles with 5 million+ serial #s which are reported to be investment cast actions. This rifle looks has some age spots here and there but looks to be a well done sporter.
