This is a genuine USGI surplus M16A2 upper assembly, complete with BCG and charging handle. These are believed to have been manufactured under contract by the USAF to retrofit their M16A1s. This example was purchased new in the wrapper by its previous owner and only shot briefly before being removed from the rifle to be resold. BCG and CH are unknown manufacturer. Possibly AO Precision on the BCG and PSA on the CH. Can't say for sure. Carry handle uppers are all the rage these days, and this one being military issue would make for a very solid modern musket or collector's build.

Can you confirm if the barrel is government profile (e.g. thinner 0.625 diameter under the handguards) like the pic below?


Any pics of barrel markings and/or chamber to confirm chrome lining?

Here are some pics for you. The barrel marking is really faint, but it reads "P MP 5.56 NATO 1:7". The bore and chamber is chrome lined. The profile is government with the skinny bit under the handguard. Any other questions, feel free to ask. I know the clone bug is pretty potent stuff.
